Zee Reads: Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

It’s been a while since I’ve mentioned books on my little space but I’ve definitely been reading. I am ridiculously excited to be talking about Throne of Glass! I first read this when it was on FictionPress years ago under the name Queen of Glass and I absolutely fell in love with it. When I went back to re-read it, it had been removed because the author wanted to publish it and I soon after forgot about it and worried about other struggles such as school and work. I then rediscovered it about a year ago, all shiny and published and I must say that it was even better than I remembered it. So let’s talk about it, shall we? Continue reading

For the second installment in the Glow On Girl series, I decided to talk about my current favorite highlighters. Highlighting (or strobing) is a quick way to add healthy glow to the skin and make you look like you were kissed by baby unicorns and sprinkled with fairy dust. All of these highlighters are brown girl friendly and can be used lightly or built up depending on the intensity you wish to achieve. Let’s jump into everything. Continue reading

But, I am back and I’ve been shopping…

Five Faves: July 2014

Five Faves: July 2014

So…. I know this is kind of late and I have basically abandoned my little nook on the web for a hot minute but life has been crazy. Between job interviews, moving to another state and trying to get ready for another year of grad school, I have been lacking in my macking. But I’m back and ready to share my five favorite things from the month of July. Continue reading

Recent Reads: The One & Only by Emily Giffin

When I first received this book in in my June Popsugar Must Have Box, I must say I wasn’t too eager to read it. These days I’m more of a Game of Thrones girl than one who likes romantic comedies, especially when the romance novels are riddled with corny lines and even cornier plots. This one however had me hooked. Continue reading

My Transitioning Hair Routine: The Summer Lineup

Summer is here at last and if you live anywhere where it is hot and humid, y’all know it’s serious. At the beginning of the month, I thought I could rock with the same products I was using earlier in the year when I was away at school and in a completely different climate. Needless to say, my hair was a hot mess. The natural part of my hair was shrunken and frizzy and the relaxed ends were limp and could not hold a curl worth a damn. So, I switched up the starting lineup and I must say, I am digging it. Continue reading
